i hear verdict.
and i can feel the flowing
of the obviously painful arc of the gavel.
as that one person.
makes their decisions final.
by moving their arms.
which grip the unfriendly hammer.
swings the heavy thing down.
and it is all done.
the fateful sound rings out.
soundly strangely like the church bells.
ringing through the land.
telling everybody.
that iam done.
done following the rules.
and my little renegade family knows.
they all know.
who iam.
iam the systems worst nightmare.
iam their only hope.
iam stubborn
iam never ending.
iam forever.
iam the freakin mad hatter.

iam rebellion.

they may think they have me defeated.
but really.
iam exactly where i want to be.
and as i listen to the church bells ring out.
as a sign to everybody that it is working.
i cant help but smile.
lift my head to sky
spread my arms wide.
and let my laugh.
ring out too.}
